Fritz Jünker (aka DJ FLIGHTplan), is an American-born and San Diego, California / Cabo San Lucas, México-based “Deep Lounge” electronica DJ who has lived, worked and played on four continents. After a diverse creative career in music (session artist, band leader, talent manager, promoter, venue operator); film (executive producer, producer, screenwriter); and television (writer, director, editor), and with the age and wisdom of a life-long music collector.

An accomplished slide guitarist and upright bassist, FLIGHTplan’s live “Deep Lounge” sets pull influence from his time living and gigging in West Africa, Spain, and Brazil, where confluences were forged between electronic dance & house music, and these three cultures deeply-rooted in percussion and multi-rhythmia. Nigerian Afro-beat, Brazilian Samba, Spanish Flamenco, and Fritz’s American Blues & Jazz background all combine to influence his pensive and diverse modern-groove electronica sets. FLIGHTplan applies his razor-sharpened ears and technical expertise to craft dynamic and evocative aural landscapes that pay tribute to early, current, and broad electronic music influences.

FLIGHTplan sonic landscapes are internationally-inspired, and target-focused on the more discerning and developed tastes of Gen X underground electronic music fans and “post-clubbers.” These listeners are mature, selective, nuanced, and prefer sophisticated environments to elevate their musical experience. They want to look sharp, post-up, been seen, have fun, groove… but avoid the clubs scenes where predictable, un-inspired, and low quality mass-appeal content exists. It is FLIGHTplan’s highest ideal to serve the underground, while promoting and nurturing musical wisdom and literacy for all.
